Train Employees So the Pentagon 'Hacker'

Strengthen the existing computer networks in their environment, the United States Department of Defense at the Pentagon is now training its human resources to hack into its own network.
According to Jay Bavisi, president of the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants, or EC-Council, to be able to resist the force of hackers out there, HR must think like them. "Therefore, we give them training to become certified hackers," he said as quoted VIVAnews from OBS Secure, Jakarta, Monday, March 15, 2010.
To note, the EC-Council is one of the companies selected by the Pentagon official to oversee the training of the workers of the United States Department of Defense related to computer security. When finished, the workers will be entitled to be a certified official certificate and hackers.
"With the certification, workers are expected to defend the network from threats of hackers, rather than just being a hacker," said Lt. Col. Eric Butterbaugh as spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Known, throughout the year in 2009, carrying almost 45,000 computer attacks on the U.S. Department of Defense. In fact, attacks against DoD computer networks are expected to increase up 60 percentuntil the end of 2010. As a result, the Pentagon lost $ 100 million U.S. dollars.
Bavisi said the training was focused on the art of hack, using the same tools and tricks used by hackers conventional. "The main concept, the Department of Defense employees are welcome to use the training was to hack into the computer network department," said Bavisi.
"So when they discovered vulnerabilities (bugs) that can be exploited to attack. They will improve safety at that point, eliminating the threat," he said.
