Mystery of Adolf Hitler in the bunker

Sixty-five years ago, on April 30, 1945, Hitler and his wife Eva Braun to end their lives in an underground bunker after Berlin fell.
Shortly thereafter, William Vandivert LIFE photographer was on scene to photograph the city and destroyed the bunker itself. These pictures never previously published is now available from the PD-LIFE Photo Gallery

This is one excerpt Photographer's notes:
With only candles to illuminate their way, war correspondent checked sofa covered in blood (see the dark stain on the arm of the sofa) located inside the bunker of Hitler. PengetikannyaVandivert wrote in a note: "Pix [correspondent] to see the sofa where Hitler and Eva shot himself notes bloodstains on the arm chair in which Eva bloody .. He sat at the far edge .... Hitler sat in the middle and fell forward, no darahdi sofa in the living room seating Hitler .. "Amazing things - but, apparently, only about half right.
Historians are now reasonably confident that the actual Braun commit suicide by biting cyanide capsules, not by the fire - which means that the blood stains on the couch that was probably the blood of Hitler, and not Eva Braun.
