Dinosaur Species "Vampire"

Researchers claim to have discovered a new dinosaur species that has fangs and a half. Researchers said that the ancient animal looks like a mix of birds, hedgehogs and a vampire.

This ancient animals looked so small and require up to tens of years for researchers to ascertain their identity. The invention was originally revealed in 1983 from specimens found in slabs of red rock in South Africa in 1960.

Reported by Sky, Saturday (06/10/2012), now, smallish dinosaur species has been confirmed by researchers at the University of Chicago. This species is named Pegomastax africanus, which means dinosaurs thick jaws of Africa.

Ancient animal with 61 centimeters long and weighs less than the weight of the body is described as similar to a domestic cat birds, hedgehogs and vampire fangs as well as having a blunt beak. Living creatures ever inhabit the southern Africa are believed to live in the 200 million years ago.

"Pegomastax and his immediate family are plant-eating animals the most proficient in his time," said Paul Sereno, a paleontologist at the publication in the journal ZooKeys. Paul says, in his lifetime, Pegomastax africanus likely to spend their time looking for food.

He was a little in between the giant dinosaurs that lived in his time, Pegomastax happy africanus likely hiding. This ancient animals belonging to the classification of plant-eating animals or herbivores, heterodontosaurus.
