BEIJING - Chinese archaeologists claim to have found a bowl of soup which had estimated 2400 years old. Soup was found in Ancient Xian City, today.
"This is the first time an old soup thousands found in the archaeological history of China," said researchers from the Institute of Archaeology of Shaanxi Province Liu Daiyun, as quoted by the Global Times, Monday (12/13/2010).
"This discovery is important in studying the feeding habits and culture of people who lived between 475-221 BC," said Liu.
Soup that accompanied the bone was found in a bronze container. Soups that change color to green because the oxidation of bronze container earlier.
Researchers are still continue to find out whether it is true fluid found in the soup, the researchers also tried hard to identify the materials contained in the soup.
Besides soup, archaeologists also discovered other liquid material has no odor and is believed to wine. This liquid was found near a cemetery, which is expected to land owned by the owner or military officials in times first.
