Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010

Winter Olympics 2010 (XXI Olympic Winter Games or the 21st Winter Olympics) is the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 12-28 February 2010. Some games take place in the resort town of Whistler, British Columbia, and three places in the suburbs of Vancouver: Richmond and West Vancouver, and the University Endowment Lands, British Columbia. In Indonesia, this sports event shown RCTI and Global TV. Winter Olympic Games and Paralympic Games this time organized by the Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC), while the third Olympics with Canada as host, and the first time in the Province of British Columbia. Canada has previously hosted the 1976 Summer Olympics and 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta.

According to Olympic tradition, the time Vancouver mayor, Sam Sullivan received the Olympic flag in the closing ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. This Olympiad was officially opened by Governor General Michaƫlle Jean [2] on behalf of the Queen and Head of State of Canada Elizabeth II.

Country participants

Some 82 National Olympic Committees participated dallam Winter Olympics 2010. [4] Cayman Islands, Colombia, Ghana, Montenegro, Pakistan, Peru, and Serbia participated for the first time in the Winter Olympics. Jamaica, Mexico, and Morocco are also participating again after not following the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. [Citation needed] Tonga tries to appear for the first time at the Winter Olympics just by relying on branch skating athletes. After getting some media attention, athletes did not qualify in Tonga final round qualifying. [5] Two athletes eligible Luxembourg, [6], but Luxembourg is not participating in the Winter Olympics this time because one of the athletes did not meet the criteria established Olympic Committee Luxembourg national, [7] and another injured.
