10 November 1983, births Computer Virus
Did you know that 26 years ago, exactly 10 November 1983, a computer virus was first publicly demonstrated by Fred Cohen?
Cohen is a graduate of the University of Southern Califoria, who demonstrated a computer virus at a security seminar at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. He put the virus in a mainframe computer with a Unix language and control system afterwards.
Cohen actually not the first to 'delivery' virus. Earlier in the year 1982, a 15-year boy named Rich Skrenta do the same. He managed to infect Apple II computer game with a floppy disk medium.
