Egyptian oranges worth 4 million U.S. Dollar hijacked
Somalia pirates hijack a group of Iranian ship carrying Egyptian oranges valued at U.S. $ 4 million off the coast of Yemen. Fars news agency in Iran, Saturday (27.3.2010), quoted the Chairman of Export-Import Association of Fresh Fruit of Iran, Reza Nourani, said the ship weighing 5,000 tons that was hijacked last week when the voyage from Egypt to Iran.Media reports had mentioned, before the ship was located at 640 km off the coast of Somalia and the hijackers believed to be from Somalia. Nourani said the ship was named Talca two members of the Association of Export-Import Fresh Fruit Iran.Somali pirates hijack increased action in recent months.
