TOKYO - Japanese researchers are never going to run out brilliant ideas. After the previous breeding transparent frogs, now Japanese researchers succeeded in breeding see-through fish.
With the naked eye, the clouds can see directly the goldfish heart was beating and other organs.
This invisibility of animals developed as an attempt to reduce the need for surgery in each of biology classes in school. Previous practice of animal dissection in biology class were invited controversy from many circles in Japan.
The research team combined Mie University and Nagoya University are producing a goldfish called 'ryukin'. This species developed from a goldfish marriage at the time imperfect penetasannya with pale Goldfish.
"You can see directly the heart and other organs of the fish, because the scales and skin has no pigment," said Professor Yutaka Tamarus as quoted by AFP, Wednesday (30/12/2009).
This opaque fish will be alive for 20 years, while the length can be increased up to 25 centimeters and the weight to two Kilogram.
In 2007 and then a group of researchers announced the successful development of transparent frog. Masayuki Sumida an Institute Professor of Biology Amphibious Hiroshima University, estimates that this transparent frog will circulate widely in the laboratory as well as schools in Japan next year.
Price unique animals will berkiras 10.000 Yen or approximately Rp1 million (Rp102, 658 per Yen). Quite expensive for an ornamental fish
